The Infiniti Q50 is a luxury sedan that replaced the Infiniti G Sedan. The Infiniti Q50 debuted in 2013 at the North American International Auto Show. Currently in its first generation the Infiniti Q50 is also available as hybrid model and the Q50L which features a longer wheelbase than a regular Q50 in order to give more rear legroom. The original Q50 is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine that boasts 328 horsepower and is paired with a seven speed automatic transmission. With a powerful engine, luxurious interior, and bold exterior, the Infiniti Q50 is sure to please both every day drivers and car enthusiasts.
Appearance Over Time
Inside and out, the Infiniti Q50 was designed to please. It borrows design elements from the Infiniti Essence, a concept sports car designed by Infiniti to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the brand, and the Infiniti Etherea. The vehicle was first sold in the U.S. and Canada in the summer of 2013, and since then, many editions have been released. The Infiniti Q50 Exclusive Designer Edition was released in 2013 and was designed by fashion designers Zac Posen and Thom Browne, with custom metal crafters in Southern California. The exterior features sleek stability thanks to zero-lift aerodynamics that makes sure that your vehicle is balanced while in motion, even in turbulence.
The vehicle features LED headlights that turn as you steer in order to help light up hidden curves ahead. The double-arch grille, and Infiniti arc-the crest shape that rises from the rear window to the roof, is sure to convey a sense of strength and sophistication. Changes to the Q50 in the 2016 model year included second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering, Dynamic Digital Suspension, Drive Selector with Personal Mode, and revised suspension settings.
When the Q50 was first released, Infiniti provided drivers with two engine choices: a 3.7-liter V6 that put out 328 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque and a 3.5-liter V6 with electronic motor (Q50 Hybrid), which provided 360 total horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Since then, Infiniti has provided drivers with more options and in 2017, Infiniti has 14 Q50 models available. These include the Q50 2.0t, which features a 208 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine, the Q50 3.0t Premium which features a 300 horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and the Q50 Red Sport 400 edition which boasts a 400 horsepower 3.0-liter V6.
Each Q50 also features standard front independent double-wishbone with coil springs over Dual Flow Path® absorbers and stabilizer bar, independent, multi0link rear suspension with coil springs over Dual Flow Path® shock absorbers and stabilizer bar, and 17" aluminum alloy wheels.
